Common Theme: Indian Festival

Competitions
Theme / Title: INDIAN FESTIVAL
The theme/title Indian Festival applies to Drawing, Elocution, Essay Writing and Dance. Spell Bee has no separate topic/title.
Level 1 (3–5 years): Colouring only. Levels 2–5: Drawing + colouring. Chart will be provided by Uyirmei Academy. Participants must bring their own colouring/drawing materials for Levels 2–5 and complete the artwork independently.
Time: Approximately 30 minutes.
No specific topic/title. Participants will write the spellings given/announced by the organisers. An additional round may be conducted in case of a tie.
Time: 3 minutes.
Individual presentation. Participants must present independently without prompting. Judging: content, fluency, pronunciation, confidence, expression and presentation.
Time: 1 hour for all levels.
Participants must write independently. Judging: content, creativity, organisation, language, grammar and presentation.
Time: 3 minutes.
Western or Classical dance permitted. Participants arrange their own costume/accessories and follow the organisers’ music instructions. Judging: rhythm, expression, coordination, choreography and presentation.
Senior Level: 10–14 years.
Time: As allotted by the organisers for the competition session.
The question paper will be provided at the venue. Participants must bring required stationery/Abacus equipment and work independently. An additional round may be conducted in case of a tie.
🥋 Karate • 🏹 Silambam • 🧘 Yoga Competition
🥋 Karate
Individual performance. Proper Karate uniform is recommended. Performance may include basic stances, blocks, kicks, punches and a short Kata. No dangerous contact or intentional striking of another participant. Judging: technique, discipline, balance, confidence and presentation. Maximum performance time: 3 minutes.
🏹 Silambam
Individual performance using a suitable staff appropriate for the participant. No striking or physical contact with another participant. Performance may include footwork, spins, formations and controlled techniques. Judging: skill, coordination, control, rhythm, balance and presentation. Maximum performance time: 3 minutes. Safety and controlled handling are compulsory.
🧘 Yoga
Individual performance of an age-appropriate sequence of yoga asanas. Participants should perform only postures they are comfortable and trained to do. No forced or unsafe postures. Judging: posture, balance, flexibility, concentration, breathing control and presentation. Maximum performance time: 3 minutes.

Examples: 3 competitions = ₹700; 4 competitions = ₹900; 5 competitions = ₹1,100. Fees once paid are non-refundable.

General Rules
- Participants must register in the correct age group/level. Age will be considered as on 10 October 2026.
- Participants should report at least 30 minutes before their allotted competition time.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for bringing participants to the venue on time.
- Participants must bring the materials specifically required for their competition. Drawing charts and Abacus question papers will be provided by Uyirmei Academy.
- All work and performances must be completed independently. Parents, teachers or accompanying persons cannot assist participants.
- Any malpractice, unfair assistance or inappropriate behaviour may result in disqualification.
- Participants must follow the instructions of the organisers, coordinators and judges.
- Exceeding the allotted time may result in deduction of marks where applicable.
- The judges’ decision will be final and binding. Discipline and respectful behaviour are expected from all participants.
- Registration is not transferable. Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety and belongings of their children.
- The organisers will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
- Reasonable changes to timings or arrangements may be made by the organisers when necessary.

🏆 Prize Distribution Ceremony
Timing change requests: Except for the Prize Distribution Ceremony, parents may request a change in the allotted competition time by contacting Uyirmei Academy in advance. All competitions must be completed by 5:00 PM on 10 October 2026.
